I was delighted to discover a new one thats finally outside of the paywall. I’m 2 episodes in and the 3rd just came out. Great sci-fi drama.
“In the climate-ravaged year of 2072, Pura stands as a miraculous green haven, a geoengineered paradise that protects lucky residents from the global catastrophes of heat domes, fires, floods, and droughts. Demetria Lopez is Pura's PR fixer, tirelessly promoting the city's idyllic image. But when she stumbles upon a dark secret that underpins Pura's existence, she must decide who and what she is willing to protect.“
Is anyone else taking a listen? Does anyone else have any sci-fi audio drama favourites?
I'll definitely be checking it out! I used to be a big audio drama fan when I had a 30+ minute commute every day - that's the only thing I miss now that I work remote full time. I catch up on pod...

Wolf 359, Steal the Stars, Vast Horizon, The White Vault, Ars Paradoxica, and Mission to Zyxx (comedy) are some of my other scifi favourites that I'd highly recommend as well.

I also like woodworking! My grandfather uses a laithe but I’ve only built panels and furniture. I’ve not had a go spinning wood yet.
Mission to Zyxx is great. I enjoyed that one and another recommendation for ars paradoxica so I think that one’s next!
Of course, ars PARADOXICA goes without saying (in my mind at least). Awesome time-travel show about Cold War espionage. Otherwise, I've also really enjoyed Out of Place and LifeAfter/The Message...

Do (sort of) superheroes count? I've been listening to The Bright Sessions. Not a ton of sound effects but good voice acting and characters. https://www.thebrightsessions.com/

Side comment on drama podcasts: I started listening to Limetown a couple years ago without knowing it was fictional. Boy was I freaked out when listening to it. The only reason I found out that it wasnt real was that I thought to myself "why isn't anyone talking about this?!?" Had to look it up after that. A real War of the Worlds moment for me.

I’ll give it a listen!
The only audio drama I’ve ever listened to is Wolf359, which I enjoyed immensely

So many great suggestions. Thank you! And arsPARADOXICA is on my list. I’ll definitely have to get to listening to it now.

It would be the first superhero’s one I’ve listened too so I’d be keen to give it go!
