I think this is a tough one because I think a lot of the local Swiss people primarily have a problem with anti social behaviour (things like people walking down mountain bike trails or leaving rubbish in forests). Not to underplay the fact that there is a lot of xenophobia in Switzerland, especially in rural areas. Of course hanging up signs only in Hebrew saying "you must shower before using the pool" is not acceptable (or similar cases for rentals, etc). About breakage/theft, I guess that rental places should require a deposit (e.g. a passport/ID card which some ski hires do do or a credit card block) and apply this to all guests (perhaps waving this requirement for guests who have previously rented and returned the rented items without issue).

The weird thing is that one of the places where you see a lot of no-holds-barred vitriolic criticism of ultra Orthodox Jews is in the Israeli press. An Israeli friend once remarked to me that several opinion pieces in Israeli newspapers would be illegal in a lot of European countries under hate crime laws.
