From the Amazon description of the author's book on the same subject, The Ark Before Noah: Decoding the Story of the Flood.

[...] Irving Finkel, a curator at the British Museum and a world authority on ancient Mesopotamia, found himself playing detective when a member of the public arrived at the museum with an intriguing cuneiform tablet from a family collection. Not only did the tablet reveal a new version of the Babylonian Flood Story; the ancient poet described the size and completely unexpected shape of the ark, and gave detailed boat building specifications.

Slightly offtopic, but Irving Finkel is a treat and remarkably funny. His videos on the British Museum channel are always great, and the latest one featuring Tom Scott playing the Royal Game of Ur against him, was particularly entertaining. There is also a video on Tom Scott's other channel, Matt & Tom, of him teaching them cuneiform that is well worth watching too IMO.

Thanks for posting this lecture, @multubunu. I will watch it later today when I get the time.

p.s. Please let me know if the topic tags are incorrect and need changing.

And it's always been our policy to sup with a very long spoon when it comes to anything to do with being in a documentary film, especially if it's something to do with the Bible. Because what happens is they make a recording, and they go away, and in the editing process they miss out certain words... like "not". And so you find yourself on stage talking stuff which is diametrically opposed to what you either said or what you believe.

🤣 p.s. It's pretty low quality but here is the documentary he took part in (fast forwarded to the part with the actual Ark recreation): "Secret History" The Real Noah’s Ark (2014)
