This was a very interesting article. I'm far from an expert on the climate for LGBT rights in China or Asia in general, but it was surprising to see that so many parents of gay people there are more concerned with whether they'll have children and continue their bloodlines than simply being homophobic. This seems to be a direct contrast to Western countries like the U.S., especially considering laws barring adoption by same-sex couples like the one recently passed in Tennessee. Maybe I'm overestimating the difference in cultural perspectives, but it's a very unexpected distinction.
