The full title is "An Addendum to Trans Activism UK’s Open Letter to the BBC – Regarding Lily Cade". This is a reaction to recent actions by a cisgender woman named Lily Cade, who was interviewed in a BBC article essentially accusing trans women of being rapists.
As it turns out, she has publicly acknowledged that she herself has committed sexual assault, has written fiction about paedophilia, and just recently put up a blog post calling for the execution of all transgender women.
This matters, in my opinion, because the BBC chose to platform her in an article on sexual assault without validating her background, just because she was willing to support their anti-trans agenda, and because she is saying what a lot of TERFs think - that we don't deserve to exist, and that our existence is an inherently violent act.
This is what we're up against, and this is why I get annoyed when people come around on trans threads "just asking questions".
