    Not the most detailed, heavy hitting article, but thought the parts about the slow rise of men in the women-dominated field of nursing and how male healthcare professionals talking about sports with male patients could get the latter to trust and open up a bit more were interesting.

    Seems like the ex-NFL players spoken to largely work in hospitals and critical care -- which the article says tends to be where men in nursing tend to land at. High-paced, high-stress environments. But maybe there should be more male nurses in even general practice clinics. If it's true that men may be more likely to open up to other men about their health issues, I wonder if that can improve health overall.
