Haiti was portrayed as idyllic tropical paradise in Wakanda Forever. But the reality seems exceptionally nasty. I heard on a (quite left but generally reputable ian masters background briefing) podcast, have yet to research, that Haiti was starting to do well under progressive leadership of Arristed(sp?), but he was supplanted by cia in favor of brutal but expedient leader a la shah of iran. And now it’s really bad.
