From a strategic POV, armed teachers are so dystopian that if someone had put that into a movie 10-20 years ago, I would not buy into the idea unless it was Mad Max.

Another dude shot up a country music festival. All of this while the majority of Americans, and even a majority of gun owners, want more restrictions and oversight on gun purchases.
And yet, nothing continues to happens. I don’t think Americans are okay with living in a war zone, but the people with the power to do anything about it refuse to do so even when their own blood is spilled. That NRA and weapons manufacturer money must be really good.
I feel like I'm living in an actual Bojack Horseman episode sometimes. How about we solve the actual underlying issues instead of just giving guns to everybody. The teachers that volunteer to do...
I feel like I'm living in an actual Bojack Horseman episode sometimes. How about we solve the actual underlying issues instead of just giving guns to everybody. The teachers that volunteer to do this are probably going to be the last people you'd want protecting a room full of kids. You know each one of them is going to be just itching for the day when they can be the hero, I just hope all the Rambo's now carrying guns are mentally healthy themselves. If I had a son (inb4 you don't know what you're talking about) I would probably move districts before I let them go to a school where the teachers carry guns.
The course does not include any de-escalation training or lessons on how to safely store your gun in the classroom, and there is no discussion of racial biases and how to militate [sic?] against them.
Guns don't belong in schools one bit. What if a student got hold of the gun? What if the teacher lost their cool and used it on a student or other members of the school faculty?
