The pragmatic approach is pretty refreshing compared to that of the "We have N years remaining to stop using fossil fuels entirely"-type articles that are more common. Still unfathomably alarming to think about, but at least it lays out the choices people have if we really are starting down a long global decline.
I don't find the peak oil arguments very persuasive (I think our problems are more in systemic flaws) but the headline phrase: "Collapse now and avoid the rush." is a really powerful way to phrase...
