I liked this article for 2 main reasons. The first being I thought it was a really interesting look at the history of home architecture in the United States, something I hadn't ever read about before or given much thought to. The second reason is that I am so happy to see people talking about the pros of having rooms. I hate open-concept floorplans. If I am in the kitchen, I don't want people wandering through moving things around, getting in my way, and distracting me. If I'm in the kitchen when guests are around, its because something has gone wrong.

The other point I really like is how they talk about from an environmental standpoint, open houses are a nightmare! They are so wasteful to heat and cool. And, as the article says if we want to tackle climate change, it is going to take a lot of changes in all aspects of life.
