Anybody know how to deal with medical debts? My girlfriend recently dropped by an emergency room because she was coughing up blood, they took an X-ray to make sure it was nothing then told her to just get some rest, and charged her $1560 for it. Her insurance covered the $60 leaving her with $1500 of medical bills on a fixed income of $700/mo with bills that eat most of that. I had been kind of hoping we'd find some way to make it work but stories like this really aren't filling me with hope lol.
