the UK Supreme Court said Rwanda could not be considered a safe third country, blocking Britain's similar plans for transferring asylum seekers to Rwanda. British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak said he would pass an emergency law to declare Rwanda a safe destination for migrants.

Yeah because who needs the courts anyway, right?

"The judgment from the UK does not change the fact that there is a need for new solutions that create a more humane and fair asylum system while addressing the significant consequences of irregular migration," he wrote.

I actually thought this Rwanda plan was only for those who await deportation after being convicted of crimes. We do have problems with migration and integration, but like the jewelry law this is probably only to attempt to scare asylum seekers and migrants away. I doubt it will fix anything except being useful to appeal to right wing voters who are anti non-western people coming here. Also why we have a couple of parties in parliament who openly state that they want Denmark to revoke ratification of the European Convention on Human Rights.
