    Speaking from experience, Toddlers at some point are eager to do what mom or dad does. If you catch them at this age and get them in the habit of helping, while learning to thank them, they'll begin to see it as mastering.

    I noticed in this article that the parents also spend a lot of time with the children and of this is a challenge for parents in some societies. There's more to it than that, but every interaction with a 0+ child will be a teaching moment, for good or bad. Mastery as an end in itself is one of the best things you can teach a child, in my opinion.
