Lawnchair - Nice lightweight launcher
Mixel - Fancy cocktails are my one remaining luxury now that I've got my darling 10 month old. This app is the best. You tell it the ingredients you have and it tells you all the cocktails you can make. It also suggests new ingredients based on how many more cocktails you could make with it.Edit: Boost for Reddit. I've tried every single other reddit app, this is the only one that does exactly what I want. Joey and Sync for reddit are close behind though.

They said the most important thing to remember is that the kids are temporary (to a point). One day...The best advice I was given when my wife was pregnant came from an almost a complete stranger. They said the most important thing to remember is that the kids are temporary (to a point). One day they'll leave and you'll realize that over the last 18+ years you and your partner grew further and further apart. You have to work your ass off to keep that relationship going.
I'm finding that my wife and I are falling into that trap. All we talk about is the baby. Even on rare date nights, it's just the baby, what's coming up for the baby, how she's progressing.

just_some_guy LinkI started doing a lot of home automation right before my daughter was born. Robot Vacuum take some of the sting out of cleaning up after the baby. It's a lot easier to turn on a light verbally...I started doing a lot of home automation right before my daughter was born. Robot Vacuum take some of the sting out of cleaning up after the baby. It's a lot easier to turn on a light verbally when cradling an infant, less risk of dropping. That's about all I've gotten into so far. I'd like a smartlock but can't seem to justify the price.

I went to a doctor who was fresh out of med school, he gave me a sheet to fill out with questions about my mood, and then said "you're severely depressed" and gave me the max dosage of...Lexapro. I put on a ton of weight and just sort of drifted through my own life for a while.

just_some_guy LinkLots of therapy. Thankfully I have decent insurance (thank's wife with the good job!). I have pretty severe anxiety which is in the midst of a bad flareup right now so I'm currently deciding if I...Lots of therapy. Thankfully I have decent insurance (thank's wife with the good job!). I have pretty severe anxiety which is in the midst of a bad flareup right now so I'm currently deciding if I want to go on meds again. It's tough because when left unchecked my anxiety goes into full blown depression, and I really don't want to be there again, but the last time I went on meds it was like I wasn't "there" at all.
Anyway, the lack of sleep from my adorable 8mo probably isn't helping.

Every 2-3 weeks on the 15 minute walk to daycare an older woman, usually...Fairly new dad here and this is something I encounter very regularly. I drop the baby off at daycare and mom picks her up. Every 2-3 weeks on the 15 minute walk to daycare an older woman, usually in her 60s or 70s, will tell me I'm a great dad. I'm literally doing nothing. I'm pushing a stroller. I can't wrap my head around it.
On the flip-side, my wife started a new job and her boss spent the first couple weeks talking about how she must feel terrible leaving that beautiful baby at daycare. It's uneven and really unfair.
