      Pardons aren't in play here because pardons are only for federal crimes, and here the state is suing in its own jurisdiction.

    I wonder if he'll use that self-pardoning power he's been touting. Probably not at first, since he'd have to plead guilty. Maybe if he's convicted.

      I know there was talk at one point that he can't pardon state crimes, but that also NY is the only state with a law on the books that a presidential pardon works on their state crimes or something...
