Wow. I was a little worried where this video might go given the contentious nature of the topic but that was actually an incredibly insightful and rational discussion. It covered a lot of issues that I never really considered before as a Caucasian man, like societal/cultural pressure causing internalized racism/misogyny/misandry/emasculation and all the ingrained identity issues that Asian Americans struggle with and through. I even enjoyed their meta-discussion on how difficult it is to discuss these topics and establish productive dialogue.
Thanks for sharing it and I will definitely be subscribing to this channel. Anyone who can dissect an issue this complex and sensitive while doing so in such an objective way deserves way more subscribers than 500 people!
p.s. It's perfectly understandable at 1.5x speed. I love when videos/lectures/podcasts have speakers that enunciate clearly so you can do that. :)
I am honestly so impressed by their series. These discussions have definitely been brought up before, but I find, often degenerate to "something something privilege" arguments.
