While thrilled to see a live remake of this story from Disney, I'm personally disappointed that Tim Burton is directing. I've just seen too many of his movies that let me down both from a quality standpoint and a strange moral or just heavy handed treatment or poorly chosen cast. Examples I can think of are Sweeney Todd, a wonderful musical that was cast for less than music, Batman Returns, with backstories that I didn't care for, and Alice In Wonderland which had very poor 3D production.
Please feel free to disagree, I know he has talent, it's just not impressed me lately.
