I saw Captain Marvel and thought it was pretty good, despite hearing nothing positive about it from friends or reviewers. I asked a coworker for his take on it, and he gave me the typical "they got this, this, and this wrong," but kept his negativity aimed at the accuracy to the comics (dude's a huge comic geek), rather than the movie itself.

I was surprised at how much crap it got, for being really just on the lower end of the Marvel franchise in quality. It's still good, but there are quite a few MCU movies that are better.

Might try to see Shazam this weekend, but the local drive-in theater is opening for the season this weekend too. Won't have time for both, so I guess my choice will depend on the weather.
