Home video shots at the end are also interesting, curious if they'll be doing more of these "living with dinosaurs" shorts. Misstep with the daughter somehow able to shoot a crossbow, reload, aim,...

I really do hate what they have done to Jurassic Park & Jurassic World. The original Jurassic Park was amazing, and I loved every movie and the books.

Even the first Jurassic World movie I loved. I thought it was a great introduction back into the Jurassic Park Universe. It felt like an actual park that you would visit, filled with just the amount of merchandising you see at Disney. Sure it had issues, but I could overlook many of them and just enjoy the movie. And I could see so many paths forward for the series going on from there...none of which happened and I say we got the worst version.

Jurassic World Fallen Kingdom was such a terrible movie that it literally killed any interest I have in the Jurassic World series. I hate how they have retroactively added characters that should have existed in the original movies just so they can use them. I hate how they don't even bother trying to make a statement with the movie, there really isn't a lesson or theme in it. The characters are all buffoons and the returning cast really doesn't have any reason to be in the movie. With the new characters being empty shells of characters with no depth or purpose to exist. The auction was one of the dumbest things I've ever watched, with my main complaints being the stupid low bidding amounts, and just the reason the main antagonist is even having the auction and doing this whole thing.

And then it seems for the third movie in this series they are ignoring all logic and going the insane route. Instead of doing the logical thing, which would be a pure all out 2 hour free for all hunting session in an action movie. The second those dinosaurs got lose and the government learned about it, they would declare open hunting season. You would have every fool with a gun taking pot shots are dinosaurs wanting get a dinosaur head to put on the mantel and a bounty on the kill. Alongside the combined work of the national guard of every nearby state tracking them down and killing them. Honestly how long would a dinosaur manage to survive hundreds of bullets, or a guided missile blowing up on their back.

You could have also went with the Jurassic Park 2 route, a private company systematically tracking and capturing the dinosaurs. To doing something with, maybe a new park for a new set of movies for another reboot. The logical options that make sense are endless.

But instead of doing something logical, that works much better. They have seen the success of the Planet of the Apes movies and decided they need to do that but with dinosaurs. Ignoring the amount of set up required in those movies just to make it work. Man this has turned into a much longer rant than planned, guess at least the new movies look decent enough. In a generic looks similar to every other action movie released that year sort of way.
