I discovered Snarky Puppy in 2015 with the release for Sylva and they instantly became one of my favourite jazzish ensembles. Being a Canadian living in a part of the country that smaller acts never travel to (IE: The 2719 miles between Toronto and Vancouver) I never expected to be able to see them in person. Fortunately, I moved to Houston and eventually got to catch them in fall 2019.
One of the best acts I've ever experienced, in a long line of top of the line concerts I got to catch during my four years in Texas. If you ever get a chance to see them I would strongly suggest it, even if you aren't a typical jazz fan. Snarky Puppy defies any genre mixing jazz, rock, funk and maybe even the slightest hint of pop. They put on a great, almost personal, show every time.
This new song, hopefully heralding a new album, is groovy beyond belief. I'm jealous of the folks that got to sit in on that set.

It's a rite of passage to watch the live version of Lingus for the first time.
As heard here.
Lingus is one of the greatest musical experiences I have ever had the pleasure to listen to.
I love Snarky Puppy!
