...it's interesting how his six albums can be grouped neatly into three pairs (robbie robertson/storyville, music for the native americans/contact from the underworld of redboy, how to become clairvoyant/sinematic) yet they sustain a tonal flow between each pair in succession...it feels like he's told a complete story through them, and we were gifted to receive his final album just two four years ago...

...will he be missed?..i think that missing implies an unfinished legacy but he'll certainly be cherished for posterity; with killers of the flower moon releasing this autumn, he's leaving on a high note...

...his titanic influence upon americana as both a musical genre and a canon of film scores eclipses his reputation as a popular artist, but i think those solo albums best comprise his personal legacy, leaving the world a richer place in his wake...

...robbie robertson's music has gotten me through some very difficult times and i'm glad to have known him, even in one-sided twentieth-century fashion...

Sorry for the repost. I had an auto correct typo in the title last time. One of my favorite guitarists and song writer. Losing Robbie Robertson really bums me out.
