There was some story about Davis I read a month or so back. Sounds like the guy has been coyly dancing round the story “I was in the car” for years and wrote that book to make money on it.
To me it seems like he brought this on himself. Err- not only by allegedly committing the murder- but by trying to make money and fame from it. Embarrass law enforcement that way, and someone is gonna say “enough” let’s prosecute.

That is not a headline I expected to read in 2023.
But, I don't think it's terribly surprising. More like "took long enough".
