Any fans of folk-metal here? Post some of your favorite songs
Niche genre, I know, but I'd love to discover some new music here.
Here's some great Romanian folk: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ROMifxECpW0

Eluveitie's "The Call of the Mountains"https://youtu.be/-w2m-TeLi6I is a great one. It's a little pop-y, but I like it. A lot of their stuff is pretty good.
Alestorm is absolutely fantastic, but they're more "pirate metal" than folk. https://youtu.be/f55CqLc6IR0
Tyr is another great one, although, again, I'd say they're more "viking metal" than folk, but a lot of the people I talk to about this stuff kind of lump both of those as subgenres of folk metal, but I dunno. https://youtu.be/fu2bgwcv43o
My absolute favorite new (at least to me) metal band I've recently discovered is "Unleash the Archers." https://youtu.be/UOvZKJlrtk8. They're an amazing metal band out of Canada and all of their stuff just completely fuckin rocks. I'd say they're probably more power metal than folk, but I dunno.
Oh, and thanks for that link. Those guys are pretty awesome.
Big fan of all of those, though I had no clue Unleash the Archers are out of Canada, that's awesome.
On the topic of female-lead metal, are you familiar with Leaves' Eyes? A bit more symphonic, but I love them.
Nice! No I hadn't heard of Leaves' Eyes, checking them out right now.
Edit: Holy shit. 30 seconds into that song and I'm already in love. These guys rock! Yeah, definitely one of my new favorite bands.
