This is kind of incredible to listen to, its practically exactly the same as the original from '09, but far far cleaner with so many unheard (added?) textures. It's almost like listening to the song for the very first time again, impressive is an understatement. It's not a VIP or remaster, its a complete remake as he explained on Instagram;
Early on in my career I signed a big recording deal and part of that deal was to hand over the masters of some of my other music. I have no regrets and we got to do some great things along side some amazing people. But a downside is that it’s made it pretty tricky to release VIP’s and Remixes of those tracks. So, me and my brother Doctor P have rebuilt ‘I Can’t Stop’ from scratch and we will now have the rights to do whatever we want with it. So here it is, ‘I Can’t Stop (Flux’s Version)’. The other versions I’ve been playing (and a few other re-records) are coming soon!”
I find the original to have slightly more energy compared to this recreation on account of the less detail and different master, but you can tell that the remake has been made with much more skill.

I agree that it sounds so clean! It cleared out a lot of the fuzz that showed its age. Such a good song. I was very much obsessed with late 2000s/early 2010 dubstep, just right before Scary...

I was very much obsessed with late 2000s/early 2010 dubstep, just right before Scary Monsters and Nice Sprites came out and everyone shifted their sound to sound to try and recreate it. It was an amazing album, but it took the genre away from being somewhat melodic to sounding like loud noise. I want more “Mr. Postman,” “Sierra Leon” and “When I Look at You”, not a mismatch of various screechy sounds plastered onto bass that is so loud you can’t hear the vocals.
The idea of hearing some new versions and VIPs coming out makes me a bit excited.
Then you need to check out Color Bass, its essentially the innovated next generation form of melodic dubstep. Au5 and Chime sort of lead the pack on that one, and KOAN Sound is still releasing...

Oh heck yeah. Solid recommendations, this is exactly what I’ve been missing, especially KOAN. Got any recommendations for songs like that with lyrics? I like both lyrics and without, but I have to...

You may also be into Glitch Hop then, it was a sound that was just as popular right around the advent of Brostep and many (including myself) thought would overtake. It isn't anywhere near as popular as it was, but there is more Glitch Hop coming out now than ever. I would say Color Bass is a natural successor in sound to Glitch Hop than a direct lineage to Melodic Dubstep, but semantics.
But, for vocals - I can't stand almost any electronics song with vocals absent rap, basically an instant skip to me. But, you could have a jumping off point with something like Seven Lions, She Was was one of his first big releases a little over a decade ago, and is a great point to start in their discography and for finding others with that melodic/glitch hop/complextro/color bass sound with vocals. It's up there as one of my favorites, but the best on the EP is Fractals imo. Edit: I was thinking of Days to Come in regards to vocals, same EP.
Edit: Hell thinking about it more, if you liked that EP from KOAN that I linked, it tends to be more Drum and Bass than anything. So check out some DnB releases, its bigger than ever these days.
And, you might really dig the new album by NERO, especially if you're interested in vocals - if you haven't listened to them before, then you will be mindblown by their first album Welcome Reality, and then I would say follow it up with their latest, Into The Unknown.
I must say that now is a prime time to get back into the scene, it's matured well beyond the homogeneity from it's peak popularity and sparseness is coming more into fashion as of late. The sound...

I must say that now is a prime time to get back into the scene, it's matured well beyond the homogeneity from it's peak popularity and sparseness is coming more into fashion as of late. The sound is undeniably changed from the influence of Skrillex and the like, but it's come a long way.

Glitch Hop Community has regular uploads that are typically solid.

Promises on Welcome Reality is legendary (as is the Skrillex & Nero remix), and Talking to God on Into The Unknown are phenom.

Infekt - Allure
Claybrook - Conflict
SVDDEN DEATH & Marshmello - Vortexblade
Oolacile - Perceiver pt. 1 Consciousness Program (one of my favorite albums)
Vortexblade is great, thank you.
