Until I heard this version, that is. I love the groove, and the more bluesy sound. That little tail riff that descends downwards (1:27 on this video) is so simple but so fucking cool. This performance is all over the place, and really fuzzy and messy, but I love it for that. It's got the feel of a band just jamming out a track that they only half know. It's such a ballsy way to open a show!
Forever gutted that I was born too late to ever see a Queen concert. I have long maintained that if I ever get my genie-wish one-time-only time travel deal (or I bump into a Doctor Who), that I'll be going back to Wembley Stadium on July 12th, 1986. Yes they played the rubbisher version of this song, but the whole setlist from that show is a complete banger.
