This is some good stuff. My younger brother and I found this while listening to NPR one day. John Prine mentioned that his father (who never would say he was atheist) would tell him as a child, "Buddy, when you're dead, you're dead peckerhead." I thought that was pretty interesting, hearing a Southerner from days gone by telling his son basically, when you're dead, you're dead.
If I were to die, and discover Heaven to be a real place, and I opened a night club like John Prine says he would, I hope I'd come up with such a cool name as The Tree of Forgiveness. After getting a vodka drink, of course.
Oh well, I just found a neat song and wanted to share it with my fellow Tilderinos. Hope y'all enjoy it as much as I do.
I love John Prine. My dad had all of his CD's growing up and knew all the words. We would ride in his little 2 door Ford Ranger and he would song the songs. So now I know all the songs in song...

Illegal Smile is one of my favorites as well as Donald and Lydia. That's The Way The World Goes Round is also a pleasure in the morning
