I run a very small record label, yk Records, and recently helped to put out a concept record framed around the 1995 comedy Tommy Boy called "Sandusky, Ohio." It's surprisingly sweet, sincere and not at all a novelty record. It also has plenty of pop hooks and big guitars.

This feels like a self-promoting post which may or may not be against the tildes rules but as a tiny label, I don't have many ways to get the word out about a record and this community seems like the kind of people that would appreciate the creativity at work here. Happy to remove the post if this is crossing the line. Otherwise, let me know what you think!

I’m actually surprised this only has three upvotes given the quality. I think maybe if you had linked directly to the songs.link page for the album instead of the promo website I think you would have gotten some more eyes and ears on it. But who knows, a lot of it just comes to luck and timing, even on a site as small as this.

p.s. Self-promotion is not against the rules. Basically just don’t spam it, meaning only share your own stuff when/where appropriate and not to the exclusion of all else.
