Some interesting backstory. They are man and wife, and i think that shows on stage. Their drummer is a friend of them coming from a hiphop background.
The band travels to get inspired, listening to tons of old records and cassettes of that area of the world while they make their albums, 2 of them so far. The Universe Smiles Upon you was influenced by 60s and 70s south east Asian funk, pop and rock. And the album Con Todo El Mundo was influenced in the same way from the middle east.
It is incredible how they capture the essence of those areas in their very own, sexy, sound.
You spelled their name wrong. ;) I restore the original video title to fix that, and get rid of the editorializing. You can always let people know they are your favorite band of 2018 in a comment,...

No worries. It's why we have title and tag editing, so mistakes like that can be fixed. :) That Reverb.com discussion was great, BTW. Thanks for sharing it too.

Shame he didn't like it, but understandable, they are small and subtle influences, hard to identify. Shame none the less since the music by itself is so soothing and wonderful. I could not agree more.

It’s very much a complete album to just sit and listen to the whole way through, and that can be hard to find these days.

That was how I was first introduced to them.
Their NPR Tiny Desk concert is also pretty great:
