Been getting pretty heavy into Ween lately. I devoured The Mollusk pretty quickly and have been looking around various albums and sifting through some of the more brown tracks and this one caught my ear. A really fun bassline and an overall goofy song. I love it except for the madness at the end haha

Haha I'm glad to gave given you some direction for today. I chose Shinola Vol. 1 for my next adventure because Big Fat Fuck made me laugh way too fucking hard at 3AM. Can't wait to suddenly throw that on when I'm with friends. I'm hesitant to listen to The Pod and Pure Guava, because of tracks like Pollo Asado. Yeah it's a funny concept, but it's not something I'd actually sit through all 2 minutes of haha. Definitely gonna check out White Pepper and Quebec next, I have a pretty lengthy method of listening to albums (which is just listening to them exclusively a shit ton) so it may take a while, but I'm sure I'll get to the browner albums and find some songs i enjoy. I'm looking forward to throwing together a nice playlist of all my favorites
Ween is a truly brilliant hidden gem of a band, although sometimes the line between surreal joking & sincerity becomes blurred in Gene & Dean's albums / songs. Quebec IMO is their magnum opus......

"Happy Colored Marbles", "Tried and True", "Transdermal Celebration", "Chocolate Town", "If You Could Save Yourself (You'd Save Us All)", all phenomenal. The Mollusk is either tied or a very close second; hypnotic psychedelia at it's finest.
The humor is definitely something I'm getting used to. An earlier me would have scoffed at music being this silly but I'm kind of enjoying the brownness now. Not Pollo Asado tier brown, but Big...

Ocean man, take me by the hand
Lead me to the land that you understand
I always try to tell my wife that this is "our song," but she won't get on board.
