The latest edition of my occasional jazz radio show is now available for groovin'. There's no particular theme to this episode; it's just a collection of some of my favorite jazz (mostly) tracks that I used to test out a home recording setup I cobbled together after switching to work-from-home mode. And unlike previous episodes, I tracked this one live, radio style. I hope some of y'all can DIG IT!

    Playlist:
Gil Scott-Heron - New York City
Henry Butler - Will It Go 'Round In Circles
Booker Little - Things Ain't What They Used To Be
George Duke - Save The Country
Laura Nyro and Labelle - You've Really Got A Hold On me
Charles Brown - My Heart Is Mended
    Jimmy Smith - Prayer Meetin'
    Donald Byrd - Cristo Redentor
    David Murray Quartet - Quads
    Sonny Stitt - Black Vibrations
The Pointer Sisters - Going Down Slowly
Miles Davis - Prayer (Oh Doctor Jesus)
Royal Jelly Jive - When I'm With You
    Courtney Pine - Absolution
James Carter - The Intimacy Of My Woman's Beautiful Eyes
Karin Krog & Dexter Gordon - Ode To Billie Joe
    Danny Gatton - Slidin' Home

That was great! I'm really glad you are still doing this... I hadn't seen a new one in a while so worried you might have stopped. I loved the inclusion of a bit of soul/funk/etc too BTW. p.s....

p.s. Royal Jelly Jive - When I'm With You, was my fav. So sultry.

Thanks! I stopped for almost a year because my production process was too long and frustrating. I decided to give it another try a couple of months ago and figure out how to make it less time consuming. (Episode 7 was pretty good but landed on Tildes with a dull thud.) Surprisingly, my clunky home setup works much better for this than the fancy broadcast studios where I usually work. More coming soon!

          More coming soon!

          Sweet! Looking forward to it.

This was a welcome, bopping soundtrack to my Saturday of baking and dancing around my apartment. With all the jazz clubs closed, I have to get my fix! Thanks for sharing. I'm putting on Episode 7,...
