Thanks for posting this! This was a really solid song and a huge throwback for me. I know the song and video are new, but I'm from around where these guys are from and remember listening to their songs before they released Regional At Best. I gradually listened to them less and less after Blurryface and Heathens came out (they were solid/fine, just not what I was listening to at the time). I've been feeling pretty homesick in quarantine, so listening to them, bone thugs, and MGK is making me feel a bit closer to home. Thanks for reminding me about one of the big musical influences of a lot of my formative years :)
That's cool that you've been aware of them since the early days. I only really started listening to them about three years ago but they are definitely my favorite band now. I'm sorry to hear that...

I'm sorry to hear that you're feeling home sick, but I'm glad this song could brighten your day a little. I think that's what they were hoping the song would do for people when they released it.
Yeah they're really good. I'm definitely going to check out their newer albums bc of this. Sorry, I realize in hindsight that my first comment might sound a bit hipster...

Sorry, I realize in hindsight that my first comment might sound a bit hipster i-knew-this-band-before-they-got-big-ish. I'm glad you found and enjoy their music. If you don't mind me asking, do you have any recs for their newer stuff of what to check out? And as 'newer' fan, have you listened to much of their older stuff like Regional At Best/what do you think of it compared to the newer stuff?
No need to apologise, you didn't come off that way. One of the things that I like about them is their diversity. They aren't afraid to do something different with different albums. Usually when I...
No need to apologise, you didn't come off that way. One of the things that I like about them is their diversity. They aren't afraid to do something different with different albums. Usually when I listen I just shuffle their full discography, so I get a good mix of old and new. My two favorites from their fist album are definitely Addict with A Pen and Taxi Cab.
Their newest album is Trench and has a much harsher/heavy sound than their previous work (not at all like this new single they dropped today). It also feels more cohesive/consistent thematically and musically than their previous albums. That's not to say it's "better", just that it comes together nicely.
Honestly the thing that got me into them was their lyrics. As someone who has struggled with depression and other mental health issues the songs felt relatable and connectable. Songs like Car Radio just really resonate with me.
