Is there a search engine for streaming services?
Basically, an equivalent of JustWatch.com for music. I just tried looking up an obscure song to see if any streaming services had it and am amazed I can't find some sort of dedicated aggregator. I remember someone posting links in previous threads to a website that had various streaming options for each particular song recommended but I can't even remember what site that was.
song.link is probably what you're looking for, and referring to. They recently rebranded to "Odesli" but I refuse to call them that, since it's a terrible name IMO, and I can never actually seem to remember it anyways. And the fact that they kept the old song.link URL as a redirect to the new odesli.co site probably speaks to even them recognizing it's a terrible name. LOL
Yeah, that is it, thanks. It looks like it primarily searches Apple's database...? Not sure how that works.
What do you mean by "primarily searches Apple's database"? According to their API docs they are up to 16 supported platforms now:
Sadly, still no Bandcamp support, but IIRC that was because Bandcamp unfortunately has no public API available. :(
I was going off of uBlock Origin; the actual search bar doesn't work until you whitelist apple.com. I know they'd have some sort of API integration for everything else but that seemed odd. I could be (probably am) totally wrong though.
Hmm weird. I have uBlock Origin and didn't have to whitelist anything to get it to work.
