Ja Rule is a guilty pleasure of mine, and I absolutely love this song. I know there was beef between him and 50 Cent, but to be honest I enjoyed both artists and I actually miss that era of hip hop. It was gaudy, but in a really enjoyable, spectacular way. A bit like 80s pop, but in the other direction.
That’s not to say modern hip hop is bad - I’ve been listening to J Cole and Kendrick Lamar nonstop, but it felt like that time was more fun.
