Something I noticed is that the Armenian influence on the music was labelled as “Middle Eastern”. No comments on whether this is good or bad, it is often grouped in either ME or Europe for a variety of reasons. It is culturally distinct so you may not hear the distinct A Minor type sound you would expect from countries that are more firmly considered to be in the middle east.
