Acknowledging that I have very little insight into Denmark’s politics and cultural trends here… I very passionately disagree with that assertion. Race and culture are not the same thing. Can you...

there is no doubt that this policy was racially targeted

Acknowledging that I have very little insight into Denmark’s politics and cultural trends here… I very passionately disagree with that assertion. Race and culture are not the same thing. Can you honestly claim there aren’t far greater ties between Ukrainian and Danish culture than between Syrian and Danish culture? In terms of religion, in terms of history, in terms of normative behavior?

Ghettos are problematic in terms of social cohesion, so if Ukrainians have an easier time socially integrating, is a ghetto full of Ukrainians less problematic than a ghetto full of people from the Middle East? You don’t necessarily have to consider Middle Easterners an inferior race to answer “yes” to that question, IMO.

If you click on the ghettos tag, it has inadvertedly become a repository for articles on this Danish issue. Together they might provide a more well-rounded story. Shortcut here.
