Funny how they're able to surveil Iraqi nationals' whatsapp group but not white nationalist discord groups https://kotaku.com/twitch-discord-4chan-shooting-buffalo-tops-jimboboiii-m-1848927240

The FBI said it uncovered the scheme through the work of two confidential informants and surveillance of the alleged plotter’s account on the Meta-owned WhatsApp messaging platform.

I get the sentiment, but theoretically at least, nsa, cia, and military are supposed to avoid domestic action.

Indeed. Your thoughts are particularly troubling now i’ve referred tfa. Worse still, weren’t recent shooters making their invectives public? Seems if we can identify such a plot as this by monitoring mere meta-data we could spot violent offenders through publicly available data. It’s good to be the king, i guess.

Of all the things to be mad at Bush about, accidentally saying "Iraq" is one of the silliest.
At most, he should have a shoe or two thrown at him for it.

Huh. A thwarted plot that wasn't mostly set up and planned by the US government. How about that.
