      Has there been significant criticism of past NATO SG's? I wonder if the role itself doesn't engender much public concern.

        I mean in general it's not a role that usually has to do much. It also seems like it's more of a role about convincing the leaders NATO countries to do things rather than being able to act...

        I mean in general it's not a role that usually has to do much. It also seems like it's more of a role about convincing the leaders NATO countries to do things rather than being able to act unilaterally.

        I guess you could look back at the bombings of Serbia and Libya and see what people thought of the SG then, but those were before Stoltenberg.

        The Ukraine war has been the only major event to happen since he's been the SG and most people seem to agree he's handled it well.
