There is no way to regulate and control pregnancy without regulating and controlling people.

This is why the war on abortion rights is properly seen as a war on bodily autonomy and why the attacks on reproductive freedom have moved hand in hand with renewed attacks on the gay, queer and transgender community. It’s all part of the same tapestry of reaction. And this reactionary impulse extends to the means of the anti-abortion political project as well as its ends.

Texas School Trustees Spar Over Diversity Poster for Kids
    WHITEWASH
The remarks came amid a discussion of whether rainbow flags, or a poster with ‘racially colored hands,’ were appropriate decorations in a Texas school district.

Special education teacher shortage persists nationally

Data from the U.S. Department of Education indicates that 42 states and Washington, D.C. have fewer special education teachers than schools need. That’s every state except Arkansas, California, Louisiana, New Hampshire, North Dakota, Oklahoma, Oregon and Utah.

The situation represents an improvement over last year when all but three states had shortages in the specialty at the start of the academic year.

6:09pm: Former Lt. Gov. Geoff Duncan has begun testifying

Trump apparently posted on Truth Social (here's a tweet with a screenshot of the post) yesterday or early this morning, the timestamp isn't really clear, calling Duncan a "failed former Lt. Governor" and saying he shouldn't testify.

just some mild witness intimidation to get the proceedings started...

apparently Duncan's response was "no comment other than he misspelled Geoff".
