Panic mounts in Rafah over looming Israeli offensive after night strikes (Washington Post)
I really don’t understand how it’s justifiable to kill 67 people in order to rescue 2. Those 2 individuals deserve to be home but I find it hard to believe that there wasn’t a more surgical or cleaner way to get to them. ☹️
I can't imagine how I'd feel knowing a little girl absolutely "had" to be mutilated to save me, let alone 66 other people on top of it. I couldn't live my life in any meaningful way to make up for those lives lost, especially if I was elderly, my survivor's guilt would be insurmountable.
...not to mention the 27,000+ lives it took to even get to that point. It's really tragic and hard to justify, in my opinion.
