Manafort wakes up every day with two GPS trackers on each ankle as daily reminders of how fucked he is. This is the kind of thing that will infuriate both judges.

Honestly, there's a bit of fatigue from following the Trumpster fire every day. I do read the articles, as it feels important to keep an eye on what is going on nationally (trying not to disengage and go back to political apathy). But every day it seems like there's a new scandal that somehow manages to be just as bad if not worse than the ones we've been learning of for the past year and a half. I have faith in the special counsel, and I believe that it is coming up with actual witches, but America has disappointed me too many times for me to keep getting my hopes up.
November is coming. But the GOP is reaping the benefits of a populace who are becoming numbed to scandal to the point that a President who's a worse speaker than GWB, a worse philanderer than Clinton, and a bigger liar than Nixon has nearly a 50% approval rating.
I am afraid of what might happen to this country, and I feel like I'm just waiting for the Reichstag to go up in flames.
My only hope is that after Trump is gone, people will still have the right barometer for what's messed up. That future politicians won't get a pass on these things because Trump is getting away...
My only hope is that after Trump is gone, people will still have the right barometer for what's messed up. That future politicians won't get a pass on these things because Trump is getting away with them. It would be a really dire implication for society. (Granted this story is less about Trump than the chairman for much of his political campaign)
The fatigue is very real and possibly intentional. The way you beat movements to change the entrenched system is through a war of attrition. You, as someone with power, can afford it - they cannot.
It's literal legal news from Reuters. I don't know why news is in scare quotes. I don't mind if you think there should be a separate politics group but this should fit in both news and politics...

As an American, this is simply upsetting.
