It says a lot about the direction the Mueller investigation is going. If Trump is replacing Ty Cobb it's reasonable to guess that Cobb's strategy was predicated on keeping Trump from obstructing justice and taking Trump at his word that everything was on the up and up. Like Charles Alan Wright with Nixon, Cobb was probably lied to. So now the strategy has to change.
The irony of hiring Bill Clinton's former Impeachment defense attorney while foaming at the mouth about the Clintons' "corruption" for so long is palpable. I love it. Trump's roster of lawyers is...

Trump's roster of lawyers is also getting a bit thin at this point.
Cohen - Under criminal investigation. Likely to be indicted given the magnitude of evidence required to risk breaking attorney-client confidentiality/privilege.
Dowd - Resigned. Officially: Because Trump won't listen to his advice. Actual Reason: Probably because he was lied to, got a peak behind the curtain at the truth and didn't like what he saw.
Cobb - "Retiring" but more likely because of similar reasons to Dowd's actual reason.
Sekulow - Constitutional law specialist that isn't really going to help Trump all that much with impeachment. Though I am sure with all the potential Constitutional crises on the horizon, such as "can a sitting President be formally indicted?", at least he will be useful there.
And now Flood.
Two lawyers isn't really what most would consider a legal "team", even for a sitting President not under special prosecutor investigation let alone one that actually is. Though I suppose Giuliani counts as part of the legal team to a degree... and he does have Mafia related RICO case experience which Trump will probably find useful in the coming months. ;)
There's another interesting thing floating around in the news. Mueller will get his interview with POTUS whether it's with Trump's counsel present, or without counsel in front of a grand jury....
