Any opinions about whether something like this should or shouldn't be removed? It doesn't strike me as quality content.
I would say remove it. Ironically, I actually grew up near there, so I found it interesting from a local elections perspective, but in terms of a worldwide site, not so much. The war between red...
I would say remove it. Ironically, I actually grew up near there, so I found it interesting from a local elections perspective, but in terms of a worldwide site, not so much. The war between red tribe and blue tribe produces a lot of stuff like this that doesn't matter in the long term, or at least not on this scale.
Basically, I would be fine reading about this incident as an example in a larger article about a trend of incivility, but as a lone incident, it's just the daily news churn.
Thanks. It's something I've mentioned a couple times before, but my general thought process about news is something like: "a week from now, if someone asks me what the most important stories of...

Insults aside, I’m feeling conflicted over abortion. I can understand doing one when necessary to save the Mom’s life, but the idea of termination, even if it prevents later suffering and forced births to those who don’t have the means to raise kids, seems abhorrent to me. I’ve tried reading up on rationalwiki, but just ended up more confused. Help me form my view?
This post has been deleted now so you probably won't get any responses, but there was a large thread in ~talk about it a while back that you could look through:...

Modern day conservatives are not interested in civility, all the calls for it are just distractions and attempts at gaslighting. And somehow the democratic party is falling for it. Civility is only going to return when the right starts to act in good faith again (never going to happen) or the right is completely destroyed as a viable political force in society (will hopefully happen within a few decades).

I'd rather be a liberal pig than a member of the resurgent Know-Nothing party.
