Well, that was quick! The party room meeting started just after 9:00am, Turnbull declared all leadership positions open within the first 10 minutes, and the results were announced at 9:30am.
And Dutton has resigned from Cabinet. Now Turnbull has two high-profile backbenchers to deal with: Tony Abbott and Peter Dutton, an ex-Prime Minister and a former very senior Minister. Yep. The Liberal Party is well on course to implode well before the next federal election. "Dead Prime Minister Walking."
