At a very minimum, it would stop Trump from profiting from his position. Pence would also be motivated against the offences and bad plays that Trump has been famous for.

A Vice President that becomes president after impeachment usually faces greater scrutiny and low popular support. I’ve witnessed 2 impeachments in my lifetime (Brazil) and it’s an ugly affair.
