Brazil does not have a rich history of terrorism, with only a few cases. We're pretty good at crime and dictatorships, though.

I find it particularly infuriating when people try to defend the honor of Jesus by doing something he would obviously never approve of. What is going through these people's heads? They need to choose between being either Christians motivated by faith and love, or sacrilegious thugs. Because this trying-to-be-both thing, it's a bad look.

When we say that God is perfect, it is implied that She has all virtues to the fullest degree. Humor is a consequence of intelligence, and intelligence is a virtue. If God possesses intelligence to its highest degree, it is logical to ascribe Her an unparalleled sense of humor. In other words: to me, God would know how to appreciate a good joke, and would certainly be a good sport about a bad one.

Besides, unlike human beings, whose claim to superiority is nothing but an illusion, divine superiority is entirely justified. And a truly superior being cannot, by definition, be diminished, much less require the fanatical protection of a horde of imbeciles.

The group’s Christmas special, “The First Temptation of Christ,” a 46-minute comedy that portrays Jesus bringing home his presumed boyfriend Orlando to meet the Holy Family, prompted around 2 million people to sign a petition calling on the streaming service to remove the show because it offended Christians.

Brazil is home to the world’s largest Catholic community as well as a fast-expanding evangelical community with increasing political influence.

His son, Eduardo Bolsonaro, recently called Porta dos Funds’ Christmas special “garbage” on his Twitter account, saying the filmmakers “do not represent Brazilian society.”

I'd bet good money this has nothing to do with Brazilian Catholics. It's just not their modus-operand. This is some neopentecostal shit.
