I find it particularly infuriating when people try to defend the honor of Jesus by doing something he would obviously never approve of. What is going through these people's heads? They need to choose between being either Christians motivated by faith and love, or sacrilegious thugs. Because this trying-to-be-both thing, it's a bad look.

If God possesses intelligence to its highest degree, it is logical to ascribe Her an unparalleled sense of humor. In other words: to me, God would know how to appreciate a good joke, and would certainly be a good sport about a bad one.
Besides, unlike human beings, whose claim to superiority is nothing but an illusion, divine superiority is entirely justified. And a truly superior being cannot, by definition, be diminished, much less require the fanatical protection of a horde of imbeciles.
