Pinkney walked to the front door and identified herself as the owner of the home and said, “You aren’t coming inside without a search warrant,” according to the affidavit.

Riley didn’t need a search warrant because of a Florida statute that gives officers the right to enter a building with an arrest warrant if there is belief that a suspect is present.

After Riley explained that to Pinkney, she still refused to step aside. “No, you show me the warrant,” she said, according to the report.

She wouldn't let officers in her home without a search warrant. They explained that under Florida law, they don't need a search warrant because they have an arrest warrant and belief that the suspect may be at her home. So she asks to see the arrest warrant. They refuse, barge in, and tase her 3 times.

Also, I guess we should be thankful they didn't shoot the neighbor's dog, but instead only tased it.

As officers were leaving the scene, a neighbor’s dog got loose and tried to attack a police dog. The threatening dog was also stunned by officers, authorities said.

I can sort of understand the dog, because a large angry German Shepard could actually hurt someone, but a fucking granny? You've got to be kidding me. How fucked up does one of those police...

I can sort of understand the dog, because a large angry German Shepard could actually hurt someone, but a fucking granny? You've got to be kidding me. How fucked up does one of those police officers actually have to be to say "alright guys, she won't let us in, let's break down her fucking door and tase an elderly woman, who for all we know is wearing a pacemaker or has an abnormal heart arithmia". I'll be sick if the department even considers standing by them, and they deserve the blowback they'll receive if this is what they consider acceptable conduct.
