    Given that 87% of our ICUs are currently occupied here in São Paulo and mass graves are already being dug in Manaus, this seems like the very near future.

    I presume desperation fuels political extremism and that's the point of allowing things to go wrong.

      A federal effort might help distribute resources including food. I bet farmers did not stop working, they’re essential and cannot risk losing produce. And some states are better off than others.
