    I have mixed feelings about this, since it's completely plausible, even likely, that there was in fact economic espionage being conducted out of that consulate. But Trump using it as what amounts...

    The move comes as President Trump’s campaign strategists, anxious about his failures on the pandemic, are pushing a comprehensive anti-China message in an appeal to Mr. Trump’s supporters.

    I have mixed feelings about this, since it's completely plausible, even likely, that there was in fact economic espionage being conducted out of that consulate.

    But Trump using it as what amounts to a campaign stunt would be sadly typical.
