Weekly US politics news and updates thread - week of December 20

Biden's approval rating has been affected pretty negatively by Manchin's no on BBB. His approval and disapproval rates distanced themselves from eachother by a few percentage points basically overnight. The nature of large countries means that's a dozen or so million pissed off people, and they're all courtesy of Manchin alone.
