    This is really interesting! I can understand Baumeister's desire to hold on to a theory he proposed that was so accepted in the field for so long -- letting it go would be an endeavor, emotionally. But Inzlicht's case against ego depletion is pretty well laid-out, and I think framing it with the award he won, showing the depth of his previous faith in the effect's existence, was a good call rhetorically.
